Personal Care
This includes assisting with grooming needs such as hair care, shaving, cleaning teeth/dentures; supervising or assisting with tub baths, showers, sponge baths, and bed baths; assisting with dressing and undressing; assisting with mobilization activities including turning, transferring, exercising, and walking; assisting with toilet and/or commode needs; assisting with eating or feeding; monitoring vital signs such as blood pressures, pulse and respiration. It also includes reminding the client to take their prescription medications. It does not include cutting of toenails or fingernails, changing wound dressings, or administering medications unless specifically delegated by the supervising nurse.
Companionship
We strive to provide customers with a strong sense of self esteem and independence. Taking a genuine interest in the client, their life and their environment will help create true sense of companionship. Whether it is playing a favourite board game or card game, reading, taking a stroll or visiting with friends and neighbours, companionship provides the depth of our services. Our care staffs are very friendly with excellent communication skills to make you feel engaged. Our staff can accompany you to the park, doctor’s appointments, or to wherever your place of
choices is.
Housekeeping, Laundry, and Pet Care
The HCW will provide dusting, washing hardwood and flooring, vacuuming carpets and furniture, changing bedding, scrubbing the bathroom; pre-washing, washing, drying, ironing and folding laundry; defrosting refrigerators/freezers; cleaning ovens/stoves and china cabinets; caring for house plants; taking out garbage and general tidying of living spaces as required or requested. It also includes caring for pets including grooming, feeding, exercising, walking, playing, cleaning up after the pet.
Nursing Care
We all know that nurses are superheroes. Nursing remains to be an essential service to the whole world. Nurses are the front line providers in health care services. Our nurses are certified professionals with hands on experience with people of all ages in physical and psychological need. Nurses can provide health care education, advice and counselling. Our nurses can work both collaboratively with other health providers and they can also work independently.
Our nurses can help you with: – Provide health assessments – Give medications via various routes – Wound care – CPR/First-aid – Vital Signs monitoring – Catheter Care – Post-Op Care – Post-Partum Care – Foot Care
Palliative Care
If you have a chronic illness, palliative care nurses can provide symptom management, pain reduction, social and emotional support. We offer our services in a variety of settings such as hospitals, home, long term care facilities and hospices. We will try our best to make your care as pleasant and comfortable as possible for you and your loved ones.
